Why Would a 96 Chevy Cavalier Start, and the Next Day, Battery is Drained..?

I jumped the car, charged up the battery, and the next day it's dead. Something is draining the battery…starter is ok, but there is play in the ignition switch…..Short?…Faulty ignition switch? Fuse problem? Alternater is fine..Where should I begin?

If your battery is dead and won't turn the car over and you get a jump and drive even for half hour, it is not being charged completely or it's bad. I would put it on a trickle charger overnight and then as soon as I put it back in the car I would drive to the parts store and have the battery and the alternator checked.

Because its a Chevy!
