When is a Car Considered "driven into the Ground"?

Some people say it is (A) when the repairs cost more than the car is worth. (B) When the car no longer runs. (C) When you have to bring your car in every few months for a 2 to 3 hundred dollar repair (nickle & dime).

So what is your definition of driving a car into the ground?

Suggestion:

Just because a repair may cost more than the car is technically worth, many people will fix their car because it is easier than buying a new, better, one. Try looking for a running 500 dollar car and you will see its better to fix a known quantity than buy someone elses headache. Eventually, something will break that is so expensive that the car is abandoned or junked. It is then that it is driven into the ground.
