Best rated car for reliable are Honda's. I beleve that is changing in newer cars and I have never and have no plans to ever own a Honda.

Reliability of any used car is directly related of the previous owners willingness and ability to properly maintain the car.
You would assume that a ten year old Honda Accord would be a very reliable car. And you might think that an old Chevy Malibu probably wouldn't be very reliable. But the truth of the matter is that an abused and neglected Honda isn't going to be a very reliable car while a well maintained Chevy would be a great used car.
