Should I Get My Brand New Car Rust Proofed? is It Worth It? and is There Any Downside to Doing It?

Is rust proofing worth the money? Should I do it to a brand new car? And are there any negative repercussions of rustproofing?
Thanks!

Answer:

Rustproofing is just a way for the dealer to make money. I do not recommend it at all. If the rustproofing is applied on a wet or humid day, the moisture in the air will be trapped in interior surfaces.

The warranties on rustproofing are written so that you will never collect. They require that the vehicle be inspected annually, and the time frame for such inspection can be as little as a week

I would never pay for rustproofing.
