Review of the 2010 Chevy Camaro

A true Muscle Car is back. The 2010 Chevy Camaro has not only lived up to its hype, it surpassed it. The awesome styling is a sure head turner on the road and the acceleration is unbelievable. If you like the bigger car feel with adequate handling and lots of horsepower than the Chevy Camaro is for you. Powered by the 3.6 liter V6 or the 6.2 liter V8 the rear wheel drive Camaro is available in a manual or automatic transmission. There are five trim levels, below is an overview of options and specs.

Base LS-Comes with cloth interior, tilt and telescoping steering wheel, 18 inch black “Heritage” steel wheels, front bucket seats, keyless entry, cruise control, power reclining seat backs, air conditioning, and a CD/MP3 stereo system with satellite radio and auxiliary audio jack. The 2010 Camaro is rear wheel drive and is available with a six speed manual transmission or a six speed automatic with manual shift control. The LS is powered by a 3.6 liter V6 engine that produces 300 horsepower and 273 pound feet of torque. Mileage is rated at 17mpg city and 29mpg highway. Standard safety features include stability control, antilock disc brakes, full length side curtain airbags, front seat side airbags, and OnStar.

1LT-Adds a six way power driver seat, 18 inch alloy wheels, and fog lamps. All engine, transmission, and standard safety features stay the same.

2LT-Adds heated side mirrors, additional auxiliary gauges, auto dimming driver side and interior mirrors, 19 inch alloy wheels, leather interior, remote start (auto transmission only), power front seats, heated front seats, steering wheel mounted audio controls, and a Boston Acoustics stereo with Bluetooth and USB audio interface. All engine, transmission, and standard safety features stay the same.

1SS-This model has a few less features than the 2LT model but comes equipped with the Husky 6.2 liter V8 engine. This engine produces 426 horsepower with the manual transmission and 400 horsepower with the automatic. Mileage is rated at an impressive 16mpg city and 25mpg highway. Options available are the 20 inch alloy wheels, Brembo brakes, and the SS specific interior and exterior styling points. All standard safety features stay the same.

2SS-This model includes the 2LT’s full list of standard equipment combined with the power and performance equipment of the 1SS. The 6.2 liter V8 engine is also standard. All safety features stay the same.

Convenience And Connectivity Package- Available on the 1LT only includes steering wheel mounted audio controls, USB port, Bluetooth, remote start, leather wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, and a cargo net.

RS Package-Only available on V6 models except the LS includes 20 inch alloy wheels, rear spoiler, and xenon headlights.

Sunroof option is available on all models except the LS.
