Suggestion:
The most reliable car I've ever owned was my 1957 Studebaker Commander. I bought it from my ex-girl friend. Her dad had an identical one, but it was 3 speed on the column. When she got her license her dad swapped his car title for title with a guy he worked with whose Studebaker was an automatic. She and I had a lot of fun in the back seat (which was a lot more roomy than my 53 Chevy). I put a lot of miles on that car back and forth between Virginia Beach, Va (US Navy) and the eastern shore of Maryland, west of Salisbury. The back seat got a lot of miles, too (wink wink).
