My mum's nissan almero tino wont start, the lights come on and the car sounds like it should start ( not dead). also the immobiliser light is staying on, which i'm sure it used to do as her keys stopped working a while ago and we have always opened the doors manually.. the radio is showing the message "wait". yet the battery was new about a month ago and it has petrol.. can anyone give any advise? i'm going to try and jump start it when i can get a friend to visit.. and crossing my fingers it's not an immobiliser issue as i hear these can be costly?

Suggestion:
Does sound like the battery may be too low to start it or the immobiliser is faulty. Guess you have to try the jump start.
