Many, many of their cars can now be unlocked with this method and the best thing is you wont have the blasted key fob battery running out on you. The system that has been created can actually tell the difference between each and every iPhone so you wont have any thieves attempting to steal your ride. There is a small system placed inside the car that you swipe the key card on as well as being used to pick up the phone signal itself. Of course the company had to introduce a way that meant that only you iPhone would unlock the car and this comes in the form of an electronic key card.
This invention sounds more like something out of the Bond film Tomorrow Never Dies than a real life thing. Of course you are not going to be able to do this with new cars yet because this is happening only at Zipcar. Surely this is actually the next step in unlocking the car and will be used all across the world. Perhaps in the future when you go to Buy a new Alfa Romeo or perhaps when you buy a Toyota
What could possibly be on the way next for these two great technologys that are the iPhone and the car? Of course the next step would be to actually have it remote controlled just like Bond does in the very same film mentioned before. With newer and better pieces of hardware out every month it is almost certain to say we can expect some similar types of inventions on the way.
