The creators have actually scrapped all previous ideas for the titles and made the game into a proper, realistic racing experience which has actually got a chance to complete with the upcoming 360 exclusive, Forza 3.
The playability of the game really is quite brilliant with many hours having to be spent finishing all of the races, tuning the cars to suit your needs and playing it on the various difficulties. This is without even taking in the online modes which can only mean more hours spent on the game.
This game isn’t about new cars but more about the custom made models from the likes of BMW, Ford and every other car maker you can think of.
Need for Speed in terms of fun does actually seem a lot better than Forza but having only played the demo of Forza it might be a bit too early to tell. Forza seems to have a better engine when it comes to graphics as well as having a larger selection of cars.
EA have taken a slightly different angle with it this year by homing in on the driver. EA has made it so that if you crash or bump into someone you feel like the driver in that the screen will go blurry, high speeds are also shown in this way.
All in all it is best if you make your own minds up about the two games, better yet do what I am doing and buy them both!
