Thanks.
Suggestion:
sounds like it could be a starter sticking. next time it happens find the starter and tap on it with a hard object. a small hammer or a wrench. if the starter solenoid is sticking this will free it temporarily. if this dose make it start then you know you need a new starter. and this method is used by all mechanics so you can trust that i am not pulling your leg. i am a Chrysler mater tech. We use this trick all the time. it works on fuel pumps too. if your car is cranking and just not firing hitting the bottom of the tank with a rubber mallet sometime makes it start. if you knew how electric motors worked it would make since. electric motor when they ware they get flat spots on the internal contacts called brushes. basically when you hit the starter you jar the insides and they move a little. when they move they will often move enough to ware these brushes make contact again, and now it works. and once the electric motor stops on another flat spot it gets stuck again. next time just tap on it a few times. you may be surprised. it could fix it.
