This sound like you'r in limp mode, where the vehicle's computers detected a prob and to protect the car from damage, will only allow it to be driven at slow speed.
In some vehicles limp mode is triggered by removal of the battery.
Maybe there was a surge in the jump that triggered it.
Check all connections w/ the battery, starter, altenator.
Suggestion:
is your engine cracking properly? is your car is idling smoothly? if yes then the battery is fine. than check for pressure plate or clutch plate possibly faulty.
if your engine is struggling to crack then check each cell of the battery with a hydrometer (any one cell less than 
throw the battery away and put a new one or you can check voltage of the battery with a multimeter reading shouldn't be less than 10.5 V.
