The day you bought it, the battery was probably charge so that it would start. It sounds like a bad cell in the battery, time to buy a new one. And no, this car is not equipped with the transistors in the keys due to its age.

check battery condition.
you may need a new one.
if you bought that car from an auction, there is a big chance the battery have defective plates already due to long storage.
change the battery and have the alternator checked out. it sounds to me like either the battery has a dead cell and won,t take the charge or the alternator is,nt charging the battery. i use to work at a car auction in barberton, ohio and they sometimes take a good battery out of a car and put a old 1 in.
