My 1994 Pontiac Firebird Wont Start?

i bought this car at an auto auction and it started and ran fine until after the first day i had it. i went to my friends house and i shut it off and it wouldnt start again so we tried to jump it but it didnt work so we had to push start it and it ran fine then. when i turn the switch it just doesnt nothing. i was thinking it was either the switch or the starter. another thing is if them keys had transistors in them i dont know if they do since its age can any one tell me if they do and what the cars problem is. im sure its electrical.

Suggestion:

The day you bought it, the battery was probably charge so that it would start. It sounds like a bad cell in the battery, time to buy a new one. And no, this car is not equipped with the transistors in the keys due to its age.

check battery condition.
you may need a new one.
if you bought that car from an auction, there is a big chance the battery have defective plates already due to long storage.

change the battery and have the alternator checked out. it sounds to me like either the battery has a dead cell and won,t take the charge or the alternator is,nt charging the battery. i use to work at a car auction in barberton, ohio and they sometimes take a good battery out of a car and put a old 1 in.
