Most Reliable 4×4 Car?

I'm going to buy a new car soon. So I'm currently saving. My budget is 10,000 dollars. I like to go out to the desert a lot so I would prefer if it has cheap transporting costs (overseas)
The transmission I would prefer to be Manual because I don't like driving Automatic cars. Ideally this car would be spacious, but this is not a necessity. I know I'm not going to get a new 4×4 car for 10 grand so I'm very open to used cars.

Suggestion:

For a sedan it is AWD.

I would reccomend a 2002ish Audi A4. It can have a manual and is very nice.

For an SUV a Nissan Xterra, manual avalible.
