Mb E320 Cdi (2003) No Heating?
I recently had a flat battery and managed to jump start the car – according to the handbook of course. The car is running fine except I now have no heating any longer. The car warms up to normal temperature and even after a 200 mile drive the heater is still only luke-warm. The local MB dealer suggested I disconnect then reconnect my battery but this had no effect. I did the same with the auxilliary battery but again no effect. Could I have blown a thormostat, a relay or a fuse somewhere and if so where are they?. I can't see anything in the fuse panels (driver's side or boot). There are a few undocumented boxes which look like relays in the boot fuse panel but I've no idea what they are or how to test them and I've no idea where the thormostat is. I'd like to do this myself since the John Weir dealership is notoriously expensive even for minor repairs. Any guidance would be very much appreciated.
Suggestion:
I'm afraid this is one of those times when the complexity of the MB electronics spoils your day: The system must be 'reset' by using MB's Star Diagnostics: As you know by know, a main dealer will make your eyes water for this sort of thing.
As you use John Weir, I assume you're North of the border – try looking for an independent MB specialist – there's DeutschMarque in Edinburgh, but I don't know if they're good, bad or ugly.

The most common problem for no heat on a W211 chassis is a bad heater valve which is at the back of the engine bay. This valve controls the flow of coolant into the heater core.
That would be my first guess.
My only suggestion would be that you try a mercedes forum, suitable to your model
I own a c180 and touch wood its been fine even with 123k on the clock
Hope you can get yours sorted soonest
Have you checked the water level in the radiator,,if the level is low this can also affect the heating
