Is This a Bad Alternator?

Driving home and my battery light came on. About halfway home, I decided to turn on my headlights and the radio went off. Turned off headlights radio came back on. Turned off Radio. Later at home, I tried to start and all I got were clicks. I used my wife's car to jump and it started right up and idled for about 10 minutes. It then died.

Suggestion:

The reason your battery light came on is because it's telling you the battery is no good. Put in a good battery, go to a parts store and have them check the charging system. If it check's out good, then your problem is solved buy a new battery because the old one died. It will also let you know if the alternator is working properly.
