Is Getting a Better Deal on a Car Worth Driving 60 or More Miles?

I seem to be able to find better deals in places that are 60+ miles away from me. I mean better deal as in better condition,less mileage & price(I'm looking at used cars).

So is it worth it to drive those miles to get a better deal?

Answer:

Absolutely. Just be aware that if you buy out of town, the local dealers won't be as friendly when it comes time for maintenance or warranty issues.

It can be but be careful when buying a used car. Take your time. Have a mechanic check it out thoroughly. A mechanic can sometimes spot little tell tell signs of someone doctoring the car up so it will run a little longer. Get a Carfax. Do these things even if you are buying from an individual. I rushed into one and wound up with a flood damaged salvage vehicle. The dealer is 80 miles away and it is hard to get anything out of him being that far away.
