I Need Help on Building a Tuner? 240sx, 200sx, Rx-7?
Im 16 years old and getting my license next month. Right now I'm looking for a car (preferably a 240sx, 200sx, RX-7, but I'm open to recommendations) to start off with that i can work on and build into something like these: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UVt8fn8w970 or http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UPSG8hyrjoU.
How much will this cost?
How long will it take?
Are all these cars (before the tuning) available around Milwaukee, WI?

in the first video he has 6k in just the engine and turbo, not even including the cost of tuning.
i dont know if it would be worth it. a 240 by its self is only 3-4k, and the lowest ive seen an rx7 go for is 10k, so if you total all that up you could get a faster car if you put all that money into an actual vehicle than modifications. but whatever floats ur boat.
Cost and time are impossible to answer as it depends on your skill and budget. There are people that sink tens of thousands into their cars and tinker with them continuously. You spend as much as you can justify.
My advice would be to get something slower to start with though. When you first start driving, you tend to drive like a nutcase without much skill and in something really fast, you'll probably just crash. Get something a bit slower til you've got used to driving. I had a 1.4 for my first car, it would still do 100 mph if I nailed it, but it was a pretty slow ca getting there. I still had loads of near miss accidents. The car I have now is 300 bhp turbocharged, I honestly believe if I'd had that when I first started driving I'd have killed myself.
