I Have to Drive My Car to Work on Friday Saturday and Sunday with No Alternator, I Have 2 Batteries, is All Ok?

A Large one and a Small one

I am trying to limit the -Round Trip- to TWICE.. My Alternator SHOULD coem the week after (Ill be working 3 days, car gets to sit for 10 and 11 hours)

Should i disconnect the Battery before i go in, and reconnect when it is time to start the Car?

When the Alternator comes, im going to take it to the place thats "Only" going to charge me $135 (2 hours) to Install it RIGHT, as its a MESS in there…

Then i can drive to work the RIGHT way..

But for these 3 OR 6 Round Trip times, Charging up Battery on "2 Amps" (So it lasts longer) during my time off… Can i drive it Round Trip for a "Half Hour" or 40 Minutes without damaging my new Battery? Ill be using my Smaller one, which is still good, so THAT one will get "Cycled," but i have the other one in ccase it Drains, which i dont think it will… (Only need Headlights driving Home at 4AM!) .. unless i wait until Sunrise, then drive home.. Starting car "Once" then turning it off, sit two hours then start it again.. Battery Connected ro Disconnected?

Thanks – Joseph/Binky I GOT A JOB!!!

Suggestion:

Just use the bigger battery and charge it when you ar at home. Carry the other one(already charged) just in case.

dont try it you will get stranded. the only way you might be able to last is with no electricals at all. I would not attempt this but good luck anyways
