i pull over and turn the car off and start it again and its right, but not everytime i turn off and on it works.
The motor miss's every now and then. even today i was held up in traffic and i was just rolling the car and it just starts to jump, even though its an automatic it seems to just stall but the motor is still going.
i have replaced the sensor in the motor(apparently that was broken) and i have replaced the plugs.
what else could this be. fuel filter blocked possibly???
i need help as this is dangerous
Suggestion:
When was the last time you did a full tune-up on the car? Ever?
These symptoms could be caused by several of the following:
– Clogged fuel filter
– Clogged air filter
– Clogged PCV valve
– Clogged EGR (exhaust gas recirculation) valve
– Dirty throttle body
– Excessive carbon build-up in combustion chambers and on valves
– Worn out spark plugs
– Worn out spark plug wires
You say you've replaced the plugs and a sensor (which is one of many, many sensors on the motor. Check and/or replace the rest of the list above.
For the throttle body and carbon clean up get a can of Mopar Combustion Chamber Conditioner from a Chrysler dealer (it's cheap…about $5 a can) and follow the instructions on how to spray it into the motor. After all the above is taken care of then you can start looking to other sensors for problems if these don't correct the problems.
