Suggestion:
don't jump it with the battery charger. hook the negative(black) charger to the negative terminal on the truck battery and positive(red) to the positive terminal. Put it to the highest setting Turn on the charger and let it charge the battery for a few hours, then remove the charger, red first, then black. Try and start the truck.
or jump it off another vehicle….easier.

Commercial battery chargers have a "jump start" mode that can deliver the high current needed to to run a starter motor. These are big, heavy units that have wheels.
If you've got a lunchbox-sized charger, you can't use it to jump start. You'll have to let the charger work as a charger.
