How Much is This Car Worth?

ok. i have been lookin for cars a while now.. and i found one.. but i wanna make sure i want be over payin for it.. ok it is a nissan maxima and the year model is 2001 and it has leather seats and i think the name of the sound system was bose.. i just know it sounded like bows.. and anyways the ones i looked at online didnt look like the same on the inside like the one i found loooks so much nicer than the pics.. and it has that tail fin thing.. but anyways it is so freaking cute..and it also has brand new tires on it.. and it has a sun roof that slides all the way back… and has like a digital aircondition thing.. like its hard to explain but you just press the buttons and on the little screen it shows up..but one problem is that it has 179000 miles on it.. but mainly alll nissans go up to 300000 and im only 16 and i only go back and forth to school and work so thats not a big deal… but anyways..i look online and nothin looks as good as the one i looked at… and i test drove this car and it rides so good.. but to get to the point how much is this car worth.. and after you tell me that.. the dealer ship is askin for 7,800. so do you think that is to much.. bc it is realy nice.. and the leather seats are in perfect condition..so please help me out and if you dont know the exact price thats ok.. just give me the best you think… so. please and thankyou..

try checking www.nada.com this has a consumer guide, I looked up a nissan maxima se which would be a luxury edition and with that mileage 7,100 was high retail, so the one you found is priced a lot too high, but the price may come down, my suggestion if you are seriously interested in the car, is take it to a mechanic you trust, and have him do a thourough check of the engine and transmission the car is getting to the point where some expensive things may start to go wrong, so by having a good mechanical inspection if the mechanic passes it, but finds minor problems, get a written estimate to fix these problems and use this to negotiate the price down some. best of luck my advice keep looking and find one cheaper with less miles.
