Id take your car to multiple car lots and get offers. Its very likely the offers could vary a good deal.

Its hard to sell expensive cars on your own. Less expensive cars are easier.
Having strangers drive your car is not an issue. Nor is accepting a cashiers check. You are the seller, insist on cash. Meet them at the bank if they want.
How much is "piece of mind" worth to you ? I sold hundreds of cars and "piece of mind" was not something I ever worried about.
