if you don't have a notarized bill of sale from the owner you may find it difficult
good luck , since the dmv figures you bought it to resell, and avoid taxes , it will likely be difficult for the new owner to get a clear title without you signing your interest over with a bill of sale that the dmv will be happy to help you with, go down there with the new owner and transfer it into thier name right then,
