Does the Car Battery Completely Drain if the Car is Not Used for 3 Months?

I will be out of town for about three months. I was wondering what to do with my car. Someone told me that the car battery will completely drain and I need to get a replacement when I come back. Any comments?
BTW my car is 2000 toyota camry v6.

Suggestion:

yes! you're batt will be drain if it been sitting for a long period of time, such as clock, theft system, and keep alive system modules. This are what you called parasitc draw,so just remove you're negative battery terminal. if you plan to remove it from the car do not lay it on the ground cause it wil depleted the battery.

My 2000 Avalon will lose sufficient charge that it will not start, after sitting in the garage for several months. I use a trickle charger to keep the battery up, while I'm not driving the Avalon. That works fine and it's easy to use.

Your Camry may or may not start when you get back. Do you want to take that chance? Trickle chargers are not that expensive and they can give you peace of mind. Any chain auto store will carry the charger.

Yes, probably.

The electronics, the 2 or 3 computers that run the car, continue to draw power. They go into a power down mode after a number of hours, but even that mode still draws some power.

I would trust it for a month or less, I left my Passat that way for almost 4 weeks, and it was OK. But I wouldn't trust it any further.

Either remove the battery, or disconnect it, or get a solar charger, or trickle charger or arrange for someone to start it up once every 2 weeks and drive it a bit.
