Dealer Vs. Factory Customization for New Car Order?

Hi, I'm looking at purchasing a 2010 Honda Accord Coupe. I would LIKE to customize my own but was wondering if that is only possible through Honda itself or if it's possible to order through local dealers. Also, would it be more expensive either way?

Thanks!

Suggestion:

It depends on what you are talking about.
Honda does not offer option packages from the factory on any of their vehicles. The differences in options on Hondas are based on the models (LX, EX, etc).

If you are saying you want an EX model and your dealers only have an LX, they should have a network of dealers that can assist with the purchase. Or you could just go to a dealer that has what you want.

If you are talking about adding something like fog lights or a spoiler, just buy something off the lot and have the dealer install it.
If you are talking about something like and air intake or lowering the vehicle, you would want to go aftermarket. Be careful, though, as some engine, powertrain and suspension mods can void your factory warranty.

You order it through the dealer. It should be cheaper because the dealer is not holding inventory. At least that's what your should say to the saleperson.
