Statistics prove that the making of Terminal 2 has given a benefit to the airport because statistics were noted down from 2000 to 2009 which revealed that starting from 2000 to 2005, there was hardly an increment of 1 million passengers per annum. At 2005 when the airport was inaugurated, there was a rapid increase to 3 million passengers. 
The latest plans of Dublin Airport Authority are to build a runway track measuring 3.1 Km and they have also planned to open a Dublin Airport City. It will be situated to the east of Dublin Airport and will cost around €4 Billion.  Outside Dublin Airport there are many transport routes available to the passengers.
