Car Won't Start and Cannot Jump Start?
2004 expedition. I turned the key and it just had repeated clicks. The other electrics worked fine. About an hour later, no electrics work at all, and nothing happens when I turn the key. I tried jump starting, but no luck. I also cleaned out the corrosion on the battery. Again, no luck on the jump start. I am guessing it is either a bad battery or starter. Absolutely nothing happens when I turn the key. Is there any other testing I can do to narrow down the problem. Anyone know the problem?
Suggestion:
Get the battery fully charged, preferably an overnight trickle charge. Start the car and drive to the parts store and ask them to check the battery and alternator.
When you clean the battery terminals it's best to undo the terminals and use the brush made for that particular job.outside on posts, inside of terminal, until very shiny.
You probably do need an alternator, or it is just dirty terminals.

Change the battery, it's dead.
turn the key on and move the gear shifter into neutral and then back into park and try starting again.

how old is the battery. Take it out and take it to autozone and they will check it,
