A Reliable First Car?!?

I Am about to purchase my first car. Im 19. Im looking for a 4 door sedan style. at the most 110,000 miles. Preferabbly American made. sporty look. Budget is about $3,500. $4000 at the most.
I heard chevy impala is good. Same with toyota's. Any suggestions?
